What we do

APostLab provides training and consultancy for producers and post-production professionals to deepen understanding of postproduction management. With over 17 years of experience and an international network of experts, it supports European audiovisual professionals working on internationally co-produced feature films, documentaries, and series, with an increasing focus on sustainable post-production practices.

Its yearly activities include the Annual Workshop, Mentorship Program, On-Demand workshops, and project-based consultations.

  • The Annual Workshop is APostLab’s flagship program. This residential, project-based training brings together 24 producers and postproduction supervisors to focus on post-production workflows, management techniques, and distribution strategies, all within the framework of international co-productions. It also fosters international networking and promotes best practices, empowering participants to confidently plan and manage post-production.
  • The Mentorship Program builds on the foundation of the Annual Workshop, offering up to a year of coaching for post-production supervisors, coordinators, producers, and other professionals. It combines monthly one-on-one sessions with group meetings to enhance participants’ skills and support their long-term career development.
  • APostLab’s On-Demand activities are short, topic-focused sessions lasting one to three days, some of which are organised in partnership with other European initiatives. Designed for a broader European professional audience, these workshops delve into specific aspects of post-production through flexible formats, highlighting the importance of effective post-production management across the industry. They also align with the broader dissemination goal of fostering knowledge-sharing.
  • Finally, from summer 2026, we offer Project-based consultations to producers and projects, responding to a clear demand for independent expertise in postproduction.

Because we know that strong post-production leads to stronger films, our motto says it all: Post starts in pre-production!
